In May 2021, Mitchell “Gus” Williams graduated first in his class as Valedictorian and summa cum laude at Texas Tech University School of Law. He was also elected to the Order of the Coif by the faculty of Texas Tech University School of Law. Gus was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in October 2021, the State Bar of New Mexico in November 2022, and the State Bar of Oklahoma in January 2023. He is a second-generation attorney from the rural community of Weimar, Texas. His practice focuses on administrative law and civil business transactional matters which include entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential real estate, and general contractual matters. Gus has received Certificates in the Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act training and desires to further expand his current practice of representing special districts and governmental entities. Being from a small, rural community, and with his background in health care and sciences, Gus recognizes the importance of these special districts and governmental entities, and he also recognizes how vital it is for these districts and entities to be represented by competent legal counsel.
When Gus is not in the office, he is spending time with his wife, Doctor Avery. Avery is currently a doctor at UMC for OBGYN. Both Gus and Avery are active in their church and community groups, enjoy traveling, making pizza, and playing with their dachshund named Sardine.
