A 1984 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, Mr. Elder has been Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1989 in the areas of Commercial, Residential and Farm & Ranch Real Estate Law.
Mr. Elder is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Electric Cooperative Bar Association, and the Lubbock County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Elder’s practice is focused in the areas of commercial transactions, with extensive experience in real estate, utility, banking, business entities, oil & gas, wills & probate and employment law.
Dulan D. Elder’s early legal practice was concentrated in the area of banking, oil and gas and real estate. Over time Mr. Elder’s has become heavily involved in the representation of utility cooperatives.
Mr. Elder is married to his wife of 41 years, Rae Ann, and has three children, Thomas, an Aerospace Engineer for a NASA subcontractor, Alison, a former Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco and PhD graduate working in the area of water conservation in New Mexico, and Lori, a stay-at-home mom married to an electrical engineer and employed by a Texas electric cooperative.
